Day 1

Finally a short trip in December away from the Singapore stress! Girls took a cab and came to pick me up before heading to Habourfront ferry Terminal.

IMG_0189IMG_0190

Reached early and had around 15 min before boarding time. Meixuan went to yakun and got her Otah and toast. See her holding her bag so happily~IMG_0192

Cam-whored a little while waiting for the boarding of ferry, like we always do.IMG_0199IMG_0201IMG_0204

Was drizzling by the time we board the ferry. Trip to Batam Centre took about 45 min-1hr. Played games on sg’s ipad and listened to music while trying to conquer the sea-motion sickness. Thank god our ferry moved quite well and it was only a little uncomfortable when it stopped for alighting. Wavemaster rocks!IMG_0206IMG_0207

Reached Batam Centre and walked over to our hotel, Harris Batam Centre. Luckily we brought umbrellas. Was still asking my mum if it rains in Batam and indeed it rained! Our hotel is indeed near, just right beside the ferry terminal and very comfy! ^^IMG_0210IMG_0216

Photo-taking and polaroid moments the moment we stepped into the hotel! Reception only gave 1 room to us because the other was still in preparation. IMG_0211IMG_0215IMG_0221IMG_0225IMG_0226IMG_0431IMG_0228

Then we had a feast in Pizza Hut to declare our arrival (LOLS as sg puts it). Cannot even believe ourselves, the table beside us ordered 2 pizzas to share among a family of 4 while we 4 ordered at least 8 items and it was piling up on the tables like crazy. YOLO like we always comforted ourselves, of course we finished everything~ Bill came up to only about 10+SGD for each of us so it was a really good deal.

IMG_0229IMG_0230IMG_0251

Really nice pastas they have compared to Singapore’s!IMG_0239

Look at this photo ROFLS!!! This ty at the back is the attention rather than the person taking the photo! Cannot stop laughing at her ‘ah pek relaxed in kopitiam’ pose!

IMG_0233

Next agenda on our list in Batam was to play their arcades because it’s never so cheap in Singapore. Topped up to 20SGD and spammed the arcades machiam we severely deprived for our last 20 years of life. Hoped basketballs, played racing cars, rode bumper cars, bowled and even challenged deal or no deal. Think we spent almost 4 hours in the arcade lols! Talk about being insane over arcade! Exchanged our tokens for prizes and like little kids getting excited. IMG_0244IMG_0246IMG_0313

Pretty carousel spotted at the arcade! IMG_0252

Only checked in to our another after doing some grocery-shopping before returning to our hotel. Good thing we have connecting rooms this time round. Can’t help but to repeat how much I like this hotel again! Good service, comfortable beds, spacious rooms and friendly staffs!IMG_0249IMG_0250

Bought JPoPs and some alcohol back to the hotel room while we do our first night of htht. Exchanged our Christmas gifts and gave ty her belated birthday pressie. Had so much fun! Talked till about 4am before we all couldn’t take it anymore.IMG_0256IMG_0260IMG_0261

Day 2

Day 2 started with breakfast in our hotel! Each pax cost about 85,000RPH which is less than 10SGD. Food is even better this time round compared to the last time we were here. Still totally love their omelettes! Found a new way of eating my omelettes with ketchup all thanks to DWAYG and was totally won over by the taste. Yummy!

IMG_0364IMG_0365IMG_0366

Slacked awhile after breakfast and headed out for massage at Isabella Massage Place! Good thing they provided transport to and fro the place, with transport to seafood place and back to our hotel after that too.

Sg and Mx walked around Nagoya mall while waiting for Ty and me to finish our 3-hr massage. My masseur really massaged hard despite us stating our preference as medium. My calf feels so sore after the massage >< Nonetheless, 3-hr massage was quite shiok. They had the bathing facilities too now that they had increased their charges so it’s no longer sticky after the session!

IMG_0265IMG_0267

Our session ended earlier than we expected so the two of us cam-whored for awhile while sipping hot ginger tea and waiting for the girls to meet us at the massage place. This crazy Ty showed her muscles proudly and even changed my caller ID pic of hers to her arm lols! She even changed her name in my phone to ‘Muscle Tze Ying’ xD

IMG_0268IMG_0272IMG_0273IMG_0275IMG_0278IMG_0279IMG_0280

And a good laugh for the day, our after-massage craziness:IMG_0282IMG_0283

Walked in nearby Nagoya for sometime and slacked in their J.Co since we were too early for dinner. Their frozen yogurt here tastes different from what I had remembered of Singapore’s J.Co. Not sure if it’s because it has been a long time since I last ate or the taste is really different. But price wise, it’s definitely cheaper!IMG_0286IMG_0288IMG_0289

Took Isabella’s transport to their recommended seafood place. Ordered cereal prawns, chili crab, tappan tofu and vege! Bill came up to about 50-60SGD and was quite ok considering the huge amount of crabs we ordered. IMG_0293IMG_0295IMG_0298IMG_0301IMG_0312

After the feast we returned back to hotel on the transport provided by Isabella. Peeved at the other group of passengers who shared the same transport as us. They totally made us wait 30 minutes for them -.-

Day 2 pretty much sums up like this except for the night Sg and me were watching DWAYG while Mx and Ty were in their dreamland. This Sg say she wanna watch with me and she just keep dozing off lols! In the end we decided to just go to bed after 1 episode.

Day 3

Last day in Batam and we ended it with a breakfast first thing in the morning! After breakfast Sg and me had a quick dip in the hotel pool while Mx and Ty were furiously burning calories in the gym.

Last feast before leaving the hotel…

My smiling omelette with ketchup!  Red heart

IMG_0322IMG_0323IMG_0328IMG_0330IMG_0332IMG_0333IMG_0334

Went to Kaypoh at the event outside our hotel after breakfast. Think it’s Harris anniversary and they held cycling events. Their music is the very thing that wakes me up in the early hours of the morning lols!IMG_0337IMG_0362

Toured around to take some shots of the hotel before we return to our room and prepare to check out. Didn’t realised how great the scenery was before.

IMG_0347IMG_0339IMG_0345IMG_0348IMG_0351IMG_0354IMG_0363IMG_0371IMG_0372

And finally it was time to check out. Really can’t bear to leave this comfortable hotel! Reluctantly packed our luggage and extended our hotel checkout by an hour (the maximum the staff could give for 1 of the 2 rooms).

IMG_0373IMG_0374IMG_0375IMG_0446IMG_0449IMG_0450IMG_0451IMG_0445

Deposited our luggage in the hotel lobby and headed to the mall opposite our hotel for last min shopping. Brunch at black canyon cafe in the mall before we head back to Singapore! Mx and I had pad thai while Sg had her steak and Ty had her Salmon.

IMG_0376IMG_0377IMG_0378IMG_0381

Weather on the third day was a raining day again. Took taxi from the the mall after brunch even though the hotel is just a road across lols. But since we got too much to spend, we jus took a taxi from the mall to our hotel to fetch our bags then towards the ferry terminal.

Was surprisingly early for our boarding when we reached. This is the rare happenings that occurred when we travel. It seemed like we are always rushing for time when we travel ><

Be prepared for our cam-whoring below!

IMG_0382IMG_0387IMG_0391IMG_0403IMG_0404IMG_0406IMG_0409IMG_0411IMG_0412IMG_0422IMG_0423IMG_0453IMG_0400

Reached Singapore at about 7/8pm due to the delay by passengers on the same ferry who lost her white card. Can’t stand this Sg she met her love-of-her-life on the same ferry and started going ga-ga lols! Poor Ty became her love rival simply because she felt that Ty and the guy she liked looked compatible PUAHAHAHAS!

Night view of Singapore!

With that, the 3 days in Batam passed fast and it was back to Singapore again. Really cherished this short getaway very much. Thanks to the girls who agreed to come on this trip together when I said I wanted to. Till the next trip again, let’s do well in whatever we are doing! Fighting!!!

Goodbye.
