It’s Holidays!

First and last paper today, and it wasn’t good for me. Lost a 20 mark question the moment I started on it >< Worse thing is the paper is a 50-mark one. So means 40 marks, GONE. :/ Still, shall just rejoice since it’s the last paper for the term! Holidays around the corner and Christmas atmosphere is in the air~ Shall keep what’s unpleasant till after the hols! After paper was the first field trip we ever had. To Resort World Sentosa! Last batch’s tourism students visited MBS’s president suite but this time teacher had some prob getting the slot from MBS. So in the meantime she got us a tour in RWS instead. Had a talk in their convention centre before embarking on the tour around the 2 hotels out of the 6 they had there. Festive Hotel and Hard Rock Hotel were the 2. First the Festive Hotel! See the walkway along the corridor! The design was like in a cinema hall setting. Dark but cosy~ Then there’s no bells for the doors, reason being that this kids-catered hotel prevents kids from pranking their neighbours by pressing their doorbells. The family deluxe suite~ (p.s: can’t rmb the exact room type, but it was two rooms interlinked, one with twin bed and a loft bed for kids, one with twin bed) Theme of the room… Orchid I guess??? The ceiling of the room with the twin bed! See what I mean about Orchids??? The staff who showed us around highlighted that this hotel provides milo drinks for guests (which many don’t), proving to be really one hotel which is really children-friendly. And the thing I like most of this hotel – the loft bed for kids! It’s really special to have this space designated in a corner of the suite specially for kids. Said to be able to accommodate 2 kids, so I guess it should be fine to accommodate 1 me? :P Then we visited another even larger suite. This time, with a living room. Even the view is so much nicer here! With a balcony linked to the living room that overlooks the hotel’s pool~ But the rate isn’t cheap, 960 bucks at least for a night! :O Not a big living room, but still nice! And the best part of this room is still it’s view!!!
And after the visit to family-oriented Festive Hotel, we went on to Hard Rock Hotel which is just nearby. The style of the two is really very distinctively different. The latter being a trend-setting one and really one for youngsters! They decorated the hotel mainly with clothes by popular singers and those collectibles sure isn’t cheap! Just the moment we stepped in we saw the bar they had in the lobby. There’s even a corner for live band! Believe it or not, GLAM is the word to describe the hotel. Even the lift is decorated with 2 sides of hanging crystals! Makes the whole lift so bling bling~ The rooms are equally impressive, with special hanging lamps and posters of singers hung on the wall~ Main theme of the hotel… purple? If you ask me I would choose the toilet as the best part of the hotel. Even the mirror stands out there, with light bulbs surrounding it like some rock star artistes’ make up desk! And even the toiletries holder looks so special. Indeed the hard rock style~ Their amenities were some ESPA products that seemed damn expensive! And that marks the end of the trip! Some pics taken in the free time in the lobby area~ Pardon my unglam-ness! >< |
