Used to cry and throw tantrums because we're unhappy with our mums for not buying us the toy we want or giving in to our requests?
Were still kids and often drew portraits of our mum writing "I love you"?
Hug our moms because we are too happy or too sad?
As we get older and older, the close ties with our mums get weaker and we started to converse lesser and lesser. Along the way we take for granted what our mums had done for us and blamed them for not understanding us. We would have so many apppologies to make if we're going to list them all out.
Still on this special day, I just wanna say to my mum:
"Thanks for taking great care of everyone in the family. Though you're not in the best of health and have to work, you never neglected the family.
We may complained your food is not nice compared to the other mums out there but deep inside, we do appreciate all your efforts in cooking us a home-cooked meal even after a tired day. Household chores should be a shared task among family members but all these years, you've been shouldering them alone. Most importantly, thank you for being a great friend whom I can share all my problems and secrets with.
Yes, we do argue and fall out over little things in our daily lives. However, I want you to know that we do love you a lot in our hearts. You hold great importance to us. We might not express it verbally and we now no longer write cards like we do when we're young, but our feelings are still the same. No matter where we are right now, you're always our best and wonderful mum!
